Build on
WEB X. OS

QANAT's WEB X. OS is open to developers. Build privacy-first applications on top of sovereign identity, encrypted data storage, and a peer-to-peer network with the same simplicity you'd expect from any modern API. Currently in Beta.

Faster Time to Market

Today, app developers build their own server infrastructure: security, user management, data storage. With WEB X. OS SDK, all of that is built in. Ship in weeks, not months.

Lower Operating Costs

No cloud bills for identity, no per-seat licensing for SSO, no third-party data contracts. WEB X. OS bundles sovereign infrastructure at the OS level, shared cost, full control.

Reduction of Data Breach

With WEB X. OS, identity, credentials, and personal data are handled directly within the sovereign infrastructure, not outsourced to third-party cloud providers. Encrypted by default. No single point of failure.

Built-in Compliance

Developers building on WEB X. OS inherit GDPR, DSGVO, and data sovereignty compliance by design, not as an afterthought. Consent flows, data residency, and access control are embedded into the SDK. You ship a compliant product from day one, without a legal team or third-party tooling.

Packaging

How .wxa apps work

Apps on WEB X. OS ship as .wxa packages, self-contained archives with a manifest, UI component, and assets. They install and uninstall at runtime with zero changes to the OS codebase.

Manifest

manifest.json

Defines app ID, name, version, category, and required permissions. Verified on every install.

Interface

UI Component

React / TypeScript (.tsx) that renders inside the OS shell with full access to the design system and system APIs.

Backend

Flask Backend

Your own API endpoints, auto-namespaced and routed by the OS after installation.

Two Build Modes
  • Builtin, full React / TypeScript components with native OS theming.

  • iframe, wrap any existing web app and deploy it as-is.

Ship It

One CLI command bundles everything into a verified, checksum-signed .wxa file for the WEB X. OS Marketplace.
